2020 Student Art Competition:
Our Time
Elgibility
Chinese American K-12 students in the Washington Metropolitan DC area are eligible to enter the DC area competition. K-12 students from other states or countries can enter the open competition. Rules for the DC area competition and the open competition are the same. One entry per student.
Grade Categories
Lower grade students born after December 31, 2008
Upper grade students born on or before December 31, 2008
Medium & Size
Watercolor on paper, no larger than 20”x30”.

Entries were due 5 pm on Friday, November 20, 2020.
Entries submitted after the deadline were not accepted.

Save your artwork using the following file name and type: [student last name]_[school]_grade.jpg; Example: Sun_RMHS_9.jpg
Submit an artwork in jpg file less than 20 MB along with contact information:
For students enrolled in a participating Chinese school, to the Chinese school.
For all other students, directly to ArtCompetition@chineseamericanmuseum.org.

The Judging Committee will review the submissions based on the following criteria:
Interpretation of the theme
Technical skill
Originality, all artwork must be original ideas and created entirely by the students; any artwork that depicts copyrighted images will be rejected. No artwork depicting characters from TV shows, movies, video games or books will be accepted.
