Rita Lewi
Rita Lewi is an active contributor to the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center. She has been involved with the center for over 19 years, most recently serving as the Director of the CCACC Art Gallery and the Director of the CCACC Home Care Services. Her tenure also includes service to Library of Congress, Library of Congress Asian American Association (LCAAA), LC APA Heritage Month Planning Committee, education enrichment programs, cultural events, and establishing liaisons with other local ventures. Her dedication to public service has been recognized by the several awards, including the Distinguished Service to Public Education Award by the Montgomery Country Board of Education, the Outstanding Volunteer Award by the Maryland Library Association, and the Charles W. Gilchrist Volunteer Award by the Friends of the Library in Montgomery County, Maryland. Her background demonstrates both a thorough understanding and deep commitment to the Chinese American community, a truly valuable addition to the Museum team.
